As a child, I was a handful. I had to be included in all the decision making and liked to get my way. Those traits have helped me become a marketing and operations professional that sets goals and does whatever it takes to achieve success for my clients.
I've always had an overactive imagination. If I could imagine it, I could achieve it. With a lot of hard work, some luck, and surrounding myself with great people, my marketing and operations aspirations have come true. I'm undaunted by challenges and enjoy finding imaginative ways to achieve my clients' goals.
I live in Florida or should I say paradise. I walk five miles every morning. When I return from my walks, I swim laps in my pool. Since most mornings in Florida are sunny and hot, the water is the best place to be. Did I mentioned that I start all of this at 5:00am?
I also love to cook, create new recipes, and entertain family and friends. Over the last few years, I have been helping friends with their interior design business. Design is my second favorite obsession after marketing and operations.
No matter where I am, on or off the clock, I enjoy helping people find better, easier, and more cost effective ways of doing everything from running a business to running a household.
As far back as I can remember, I've always been drawn to order and efficiency. My toys were neat, my closet was color coordinated, and my mom never had to ask me to clean my room. I constantly sought faster and easier ways to accomplish tasks, often sharing my methods with others—even if it wasn't always welcomed. Watching people adopt my suggestions and succeed fuels my passion for efficiency.
This early inclination led to a career in logistics, where I streamlined warehouse processes, saving time and money. Transitioning into marketing, I applied the same principles, driving my progression from marketing assistant to Chief Marketing Officer.
In one of my blogs, I share a story about my marketing journey that began at age five. Here's a brief version: One day, while exploring the attic for hidden treasures, I found an old Easy-Bake Oven and my Aunt Mame's childhood teddy bears. The attic was filled with old work benches, trunks, baskets, and chairs. I was in my element. I arranged the chairs in a neat circle around me and my oven.
When my mom came looking for me, she heard me talking and thought someone was with me but I was alone. That was the day I started marketing. I was demonstrating to the bears how to use the Easy-Bake Oven, all the great food you could make, and why they needed to go out and buy one right away.
My mom couldn't help but laugh, amazed at my natural marketing skills. Since then, my passion for selling, storytelling, and persuading has evolved into a long and successful career in marketing and operations.
